Rückzug allerorts. Wo Grenzen geöffnet wurden, stehen Zäune. Wo man Räume erweitern wollte, verengt sich der Horizont. Wo Frieden das Projekt war, brodeln Hass und Gewalt. Solidarisches oder kosmopolitisches Denken wirkt utopisch bis verklärt. Auf globale Herausforderungen wird zunehmend mit Stärkung nationaler Interessen geantwortet. Heimat steht wieder für kollektive Identität. Ist Europa letztlich Privatsache und der Euro alles, was uns verbindet? Auf der Bühne von HAUS EINS findet eine Positionsbestimmung und Neuvermessung statt: In Podiumsgesprächen, essayistischen Impulsen und künstlerischen Interventionen soll nichts Geringeres geleistet werden, als die Arbeit an einer Landkarte der Gegenwart. – Wie sieht sie aus, die Heimat, die wir wollen?

Retreat is everywhere. Where once borders were opened, fences are going up. Where we wanted to expand spaces, horizons are narrowing. Where peace was the joint project, hatred and violence are seething. Solidary or cosmopolitan thought seems utopian or exalted. Global challenges are increasingly met with strengthened national interests. Home is once more a symbol of collective identity. Is Europe ultimately a private matter, and is the common currency the only thing that connects us? On the stage of HAUS EINS, we will determine our position and renew our mapping. In podium discussions, artistic interventions and via essayistic impulses, we will attempt nothing less than to work on a map of the present. - The home that we want, what does it look like?
